The Analogue Dream

In modern music, “band” is often a swear word – a quick quip which brings to mind either a room full of sidemen or an outdated cover group messing their way through older music. But, just as with the crew, the band is more relevant than some people realize.

The Analogue Dream, a rotating cast of talented musicians, is the band of performers Brian Zircon tours with. Led by Owen Ellis, each member was selected for their emotional capabilities and sonic versatility. If everyone onstage has an intimate connection to the message behind the song, the resulting unity creates an energetic space of powerful immersion.

This is also made possible by the fact that every member of the Analogue Dream is well-versed in the emotional goldmines present in music from years past up through today. These emotional factors, whether they be specific pieces of rare gear or old techniques of performance, are combined to form a mass greater than the sum of their parts. The interaction and spontaneity of the Analogue Dream provides a vibrant foundation for the moving Technicolor art of the show.
